We love coming to work but at the end of the day, we’re just like you. We shop at farmers’ markets and buy organic and local as much as we can. We prepare dinner for our families, bathe our babies, sing them lullabies and rock them to sleep. In our own small ways, we do our part: we plant vegetable gardens, bake bread, raise chickens, make rope swings, and we try to turn off the television. Every day we help our children get dressed in clothes that will witness the story of their day – the play, the learning, the exploration, the laughter.

Activities to Avoid

Some activities are best to avoid, like scuba diving, some amusement park rides, waterslides, horseback riding, hot tubs, saunas, contact sports, skiing and snowboarding.

Activities at high altitudes can be risky too because there’s less oxygen available to you, which means you’ll tire more easily. It also means your baby will get less oxygen, which can negatively affect growth and development. Therefore avoid altitudes higher than 8,500 ft. (about 2,500 meters) above sea level.
