In the heart of bustling Amsterdam awaits a true haven of luxury, comfort, and design. My husband and I took a middle-of-the-week night off for some ‘us time’ at Andaz Amsterdam, Prinsengracht.

From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home.

Andaz Amsterdam, Prinsengracht is a five-star boutique hotel with 122 guestrooms and suites with stunning views of the Prinsengracht canal or landscaped gardens.

Each space is designed by the famous Dutch architect Marcel Wanders.

The location doesn’t get any better.

Andaz Amsterdam, Prinsengracht resides near Anne Frank House, Rijksmuseum, Jordaan District, Leidseplein, Vondelpark and ‘de 9 straatjes’ (9 picturesque little streets in the Amsterdam canal belt).

Our Canal View Room left us inspired by design and comfort.

From the design bookshelves to the wallpaper in the restroom. Every space is uniquely designed by Marcel Wanders.

Dinner

After a short shopping spree at the ‘Nine Streets’ near Andaz, we returned for complimentary pre-dinner drinks and cheese crackers in the Library (Evening Wine Hour from 5 – 7 pm).

Our mouthwatering farm-to-table dinner at Bluespoon Restaurant was beyond our imagination.

For our pregnant readers, I will skip my wine recommendations for another time……..

For dessert, I can highly recommend the ‘Tarte Tatin’ to share with your loved one.
